Born in Cuba and raised in Spain, Gabriela Matos brings an international perspective and multicultural depth to her legal practice. Her early legal education began in Spain, where she completed three years of law school before continuing her academic and professional journey in the United States.

 

Ms. Matos earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Florida International University and later obtained her Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law. While in law school, she served as Vice President of the Trial Team, competing in multiple mock trial competitions and refining the courtroom advocacy skills that now define her practice. Today, she continues her involvement with the Trial Team as a coach, mentoring future attorneys and teaching the advocacy techniques that helped shape her own legal career.

 

Her legal experience spans both sides of the courtroom. Ms. Matos worked at the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office, where she gained hands-on experience defending individuals and protecting constitutional rights. She also worked at one of Florida’s largest personal injury law firms, where she learned to handle personal injury cases from intake through litigation, representing clients in complex, high-stakes matters and developing a strong foundation in civil litigation strategy.

 

Fluent in English, Spanish, and French, Ms. Matos serves a diverse client base with clarity, cultural understanding, and precision.

 

Today, she combines her international background, rigorous trial training, and practical litigation experience to deliver strategic, results-driven representation with the professionalism and dedication every client deserves.
